We are so grateful to you and your wonderfully talented staff for providing the most amazing experience for Em and Care this summer. They are STILL talking about the Adventure Camp! Still!!!! They loved the two leaders, the girls in their cohort, the structure of the program, every activity (even caving!), the food, etc. Em took the most amazing pictures - I have attached two below. I can only imagine the beauty from these pictures - but what I saw first hand was the glow from their faces when they came home from camp.

Meet Our Tap Adventure Counselors
Hi Tapawingo! My name is Miss Hailey and I’m one of the TAP Adventure leaders this summer! I am so excited to be leading the first year of TAP adventure with Miss Joyellen. I’m pumped that I have the opportunity to walk alongside my girls this summer as we go outside our comfort zones and take the fun experience of Tapawingo off the island. In this program, you will have opportunities to learn lots of new outdoor recreation skills, make new friends, explore more of the Adirondacks, and most importantly grow in your faith and love for Jesus!
Here’s a little bit more about me: I’m from Grand Rapids, Michigan and am studying nursing at Calvin University. But most of my passions and hobbies involve outdoor recreation! I love to run, hike, water ski, kayak, and go camping. I grew up camping in the Adirondacks with my family every summer, so it truly feels like home for me. I’ve also worked at COTW for the past 3 summers on the outdoor recreation department (with Miss Joyellen!) leading guests in activities like climbing, zip lining, hiking, and canoeing. Some of my other favorite outdoor recreation experiences include whitewater kayaking in Costa Rica, hiking in Yosemite, and backpacking in Georgia. I’m really excited to share my love with the outdoors with my girls this summer as we take on the ADK together!
I grew up in Speculator, NY where my family spent a lot of time in the outdoors hiking, climbing, canoeing, and all the fun things. I worked several summers at Camp-of-the-Woods on the recreation staff where I led hiking, climbing, and canoeing trips. I currently go to school at Colorado Christian University where I am studying Outdoor Leadership and Biblical Studies. Living in Colorado has grown my passion for the outdoors so much as I am able to hike, ski, and climb every weekend. When I am not outside, I love to play guitar and piano, leading worship with my friends. Also, my new hobby of the year (learned in quarantine) is juggling!!
I am so excited to see all the girls this summer experience God’s creation and get stoked about having adventures in the wilderness. I have experienced God in really cool ways while being challenged through outdoor activity. I can’t wait to meet the girls where they are at, and I know that God will work in their hearts in ways we could never expect.
