The Tapawingo Scholarship Fund enables over 40 girls a summer to attend camp and encounter Jesus.
“We're back in our 'real lives' and school has been in session for a month now. Every day, we are still seeing the fruit of an incredible week with Jesus at Camp Tapawingo. To have daughters who were positively impacted by their time in the days and weeks following camp is expected. To have daughters who remain impacted by their time now that the engines of life are roaring again is truly amazing.
Since July, our daughter has been able to sleep with the light off, trusting Jesus for her safety during the night, since ‘He stayed with’ her all week at camp. A week ago, we overheard our other daughter telling a good friend that she wants to start a no-gossip-allowed club because at camp she learned that it's a great way for Christian girls to care about each other. Last night, my husband had to run around the house two times while the girls sang with utter delight because he left his elbows on the table. From the bottom of our joy-filled hearts, we are grateful to God for the GIFT of incredible leadership and discipleship at Camp Tapawingo!”

This was our daughters’ first year at Tapawingo, and they loved it. They keep in touch with their counselors, who are so sweet to respond in the midst of their busy school schedules. I know the lasting impression such attention had on my life, which caused me to pursue Christ, all the more as my mentors pointed me to Him.
I want to express my gratitude for working financially with their friends who received generous scholarships to attend with them. It was a highlight of their year as well, and one they never would have been able to receive without help. I am thankful we can contribute to the scholarship fund because of the Lord's generosity to us, and pray that He will use it to further His kingdom and glorify Himself at Tapawingo.
I just wanted to say thank you! You were so generous to give me a scholarship this last summer to make my time at Tapawingo possible. I enjoyed banana boating, water skiing, archery, crafts, sailing, running 10 miles, doing the island swim, rock climbing, singing nonstop, and getting to know other Christian girls. I loved being a part of this camp's Christian fellowship and friends.
I learned a lot of things about God and how to grow my faith from the speakers and counselors. The way I saw other people be unafraid to speak of their faith was a big impact on me. It helped me understand that God doesn't just look at the world He made, but he loves us individually and I can always give my problems to Him.
P.S. I hope to come back soon!!
