Dear Tapawingo

Dear Tapawingo friends,

Camp is in full swing, and excitement is still in the air! Campers have been encouraged by a variety of activities and topics. We’ve talked about Psalm 23, the fruit of the Spirit, eternal impact, fearlessness, being made in the image of God, and so much more. We’ve also re-added the equestrian badge, and in full camp silliness, made the memorization requirements the same and the execution of the physical requirements on a banana boat or broom, in lieu of a real horse.

We also have a new creative addition that we’ll be adding to our Lodge in the next year: We are collecting information on Tapawingo alumni that are currently missionaries! We are hoping to have a picture and bio on a map for all to see (and pray for). If you are a missionary and a previous Tapawingo staff member or camper, we would love to add you to our informational wall. We also are going to add a board for CITs/Tap Adventure, to showcase some photos of previous groups and some of the joys of the programs.

A song that has been on my heart lately, for anyone in a season of waiting, a season of trusting the Lord:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus

Look full in His wonderful face

And the things of earth shall grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace

Praying for you all -- that Jesus would become even sweeter to your girls and your family, and that the things of this earth really would grow dim in comparison to the glory and grace of the Lord set before us.

With great joy,

Miss Kieran Dollarhide

Tapawingo Director
